A helpful instruction for Cathodic Protection Testers, Technicians and Technologists who conduct tests on cathodic protection (CP) systems for on-shore structures. Tools. Equipment. Safety. Analysis. References. 3rd edition 2016 NACE
This book was written as a helpful instruction for Cathodic Protection Testers, Technicians and Technologists and others who conduct tests on cathodic protection (CP) systems for on-shore structures. While there are several texts on the theory and application of CP, there are no books that describe these applicable CP field tests in detail. This book presents a step by step procedure on rectifier or thermoelectric generator adjustments, inspection and basic troubleshooting, structure-to-electrolyte potential measurements, current measurements; diagnostic testing; adjustive surveys; commissioning surveys; close interval potential surveys, stray current interference testing, electrical isolation testing, road/railroad cased crossings, AC voltage testing, soil resistivity measurements, and CP tests on well casings, aboveground storage tanks and underground tanks. Included under each of these subjects is a list of the tools and equipment or safety equipment needed, precautions to be followed, the step by step procedure, an analysis of the test results and applicable references. The contents of the book are directed to those who are new to the CP arena, others who do not regularly complete all of these CP field tests, and as a refresher to experienced CP personnel. 2016 by NACE International, 7" x 9", perfect bound, 342 pages.
NEW EDITION!! For nearly 50 years Control of Pipeline Corrosion, written by A.W. Peabody, has been the most trusted resource in the field of pipeline corrosion. Now completely revised and updated, the third edition of this classic reference continues the tradition of excellence by providing the most thorough and authoritative coverage of the prevention and control of pipeline corrosion, and now includes a chapter on AC interference.
Peabody's Control of Pipeline Corrosion, Third Edition, edited by Ronald Bianchetti, blends traditional corrosion engineering practices with modern technologies to make this the single source for corrosion control. Chapters have updated information and graphics to expand on the user-friendly nature of the original book.

Supplements the Peabody’s Control of Pipeline Corrosion text. Practical field exercises, calculations, and questions. Application the theories of cathodic protection to practical field situations. Also available in combination with new Peabody book/CD. 2001 NACE
This book provides the reader with a history of generic pipeline coating types, technical information about testing, application and use. There is very practical information about selection and evaluation methods for each type of coating system to help those who design pipeline systems. There is also discussion of how coatings work with cathodic protection, cathodic protection shielding by coatings and other related issues with the various coating systems related to CP. 2017 NACE, 7" x 9", soft cover, 264 pages.
