Several efforts by multidisciplinary teams had been undertaken over many years to mitigate the corrosion damage. These efforts were reactive and did not address the root causes of the damage, namely "design deficiencies" and "not implementing process monitoring." This paper will outline the significant efforts undertaken throughout the years and conclude with the Corrosion Control Plan, developed to enhance reliability and availability of the unit and proactively mitigate corrosion damage.
